This position is located in Milwaukee.

Position Summary:
Responsible for hardware and firmware design assurance validation activities of new product development and enhancement projects.
· Drive improvement and standardization of best practices in the organization to achieve best-in-class quality for new products, as part of a cross-functional team working with both external and internal customers.
· Support CPD-Common Product Development Process.
· Relentless pursuit of Root Cause determination.
· Execution Management of Quality Deliverables for Projects.
· Apply Quality Functional Tools / Methods in the development of new product designs including, 8-D Methodology, 5-Why, Validation, MAAR, Pareto, Statistical Significance / Correlation, Design of Experiments, Critical to Quality characteristics, Design FMEA and Process FMEA.
· Participate with design engineering in Design for Six Sigma process with new designs providing leadership in quality and reliability activities.
· Utilize statistical tools to evaluate current product quality performance and primary failure modes and determine physics of failure.
· Evaluates, from a quality and reliability standpoint, the materials, properties and techniques used in production.
· Advises design engineering on selection, application and test of electronic components and systems.
· Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product quality and reliability.
· Determines quality and reliability requirements of components, subassemblies and systems to achieve company, customer and any governmental agency reliability objectives.
· Ensures compliance with internal and external specifications and standards such as ISO regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
· B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
· Minimum 5 years of design assurance, product quality or engineering experience with an emphasis on improving quality within a high-tech product development organization.
· Experience with manufacturing quality and design for manufacture.
· Experience with Industrial Automation applications and solutions are highly desirable.
ASQ certification desired – CQE, CRE.
